Stone rosary made of polished stone. This was supposedly hand made by the old woman who was selling it on the beach. But after buying it I saw the same exact item being sold all over the island. It is a mass-produced item, probably not even made in the Bahamas.

How and when did you acquire this object? This was acquired on a trip to Nassau Bahamas in February 1996. It was purchased from an old woman selling items on the beach. I’m not very religious but the quality of the workmanship intrigued me. I must have worn it around my neck only twice, if that.
Approximately when did it expire? Why? It expired as soon as I returned home from my trip to the Bahamas. Like so many other items that people buy when vacationing, it seemed like a good purchase at the time but proved to be an item of little actual value.
Where has it been located since the time of its expiration? This item was stored in a box of old items that were moved from closet to closet as I moved. It would have been discarded long ago but because of the religious significance, I always felt badly (almost sinful) each time I placed it in the trash. I retrieved it each time and placed it back in the junk do not/can’t discard box.

Small toy Hot Wheels model car of a 1995 Mazda Miata Special Edition. This is a child’s toy of a limited edition car that was produced only one year: 1995. It had the distinctive “Merlot Mica” paint (burgundy color).

How and when did you acquire this object? The object was acquired in Atlantic City, NJ, in 1999. A toy store on an old pier on the boardwalk was going out of business and had this item for sale for only .99 cents. I bought 3 but I don’t remember what happened to the other two. It was painted silver by me (albeit badly) to match the second Miata I owned, a 1990 silver 5 speed with 199,993 miles. I used to keep the toy in the actual car until I sold the Miata about 4 years later.
Approximately when did it expire? Why? It expired when I sold the Mazda Miata that I owned, which was in June of 2003. As I no longer owned a Miata, owning this lost its significance and I no longer had a reason to display in my ‘current car’ collection.
Where has it been located since the time of its expiration? After 2003, this item was stored in a box full of old, forgotten items. I have not opened this box until recently and it sat, untouched for about 3 years. It brought back all the memories of driving top-down, and all the summers spent blissfully hanging out on the New Jersey Shore.
