mon, you had mentioned somewhere about changing the order of the questions, and yes, i totally agree because i never saw the order of the questions above as being a set order. i am reorganizing the questions today in preparation of the test i will shoot, and here is the order i will try: 1) bounce words exercise 2) name and physical description 3) first thing in morning and last thing at night 4) inside of body 5) abroad and missing home 6) place of strongest emotion, viewpoint of places of memory 7) most energy 8) feeling of déjà vu 9) recurring dreams 10) personal journey 11) time standing still. I’ll let you guys know how this set feels after we finish!
elaine, you were saying last night, that we need film materialof 5 minutes that is almost a still picture of the interviewee, that they are not talking and just looking in to the camera. I was thinking that i’m going to read aloud a short text and let the interviewee listen to it, i’m going to record how they react to it, so i have this material.
btw, the new order of the questions is more or less what i’m going to do. i have just added a short warm up conversation about birth place, living place and homecountry of parents and also what kind of relation they have to China.
1. part
warm up conversation
2. part
bouncing words
(i asked them to repeat the word and then answer)
3.part
task (ask them to stay still for at least 10sec)
new task: imitate a typical faical expression of your mum or dad.
